In the team championship in most sports disciplines of fire-applied sports, fire fighters from the VVO won. In second place is the team of the Southern Military District, in third place is the firefighters of the Security Commandant’s Directorate (UCO) of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation).
All participants of the competition performed in fire-fighting equipment.
In total, more than 100 people took part in the competition, consisting of 12 teams from the Southern, Western, Central and Eastern Districts, the Northern Fleet, the 12th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the UKO of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as services (arms) of the Armed Forces of Russia and central bodies of the military administration of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. For the first time, a team of representatives of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of the Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM) of Russia is participating out of the competition.
The III Championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was held at the Gorodskoy stadium of the House of Officers, as well as at the 35th fire and rescue unit in Ussuriisk, under the leadership of Colonel Dmitry Shchipanov, Chief of the Fire Safety Service of the RF Armed Forces.
At the closing ceremony of the championship, the winners of the competition were given gratitude, cups, medals and certificates of honor, as well as valuable gifts.
“Next year, we will see not only the Armed Forces, but also representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other law enforcement agencies among the competition participants, while their total number will reach 15-16 teams. The next IV-Championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in fire and rescue sport will be held in the city of Ufa, Bashkiria, ”explained Dmitry Shchipanov.
