The decision was made following the results of Mikhail Mishustin’s working trip to the Far East.


Order of September 4, 2021 No. 2445-r

For another year, residents of the Far East – until December 3, 2022 – will be able to register vehicles imported from abroad without installing the ERA-GLONASS system. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The temporary order applies to used right-hand drive vehicles purchased for personal use. The relief will be able to take advantage of car owners registered in the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as those who plan to move there for permanent residence.

The decision was made based on the results working trip of Mikhail Mishustin to the Khabarovsk Territory, which took place on July 28 as part of a business trip to the regions of the Far Eastern and Siberian federal districts. In addition to the Khabarovsk Territory, the Prime Minister visited the Irkutsk and Sakhalin regions. During the trip, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers visited industrial enterprises, social and infrastructure facilities, met with the heads of regions, and also held a meeting on the elimination of the consequences of emergencies in the Far East. Most of the questions were reflected in the minutes following the results of this meeting and in the lists of instructions published earlier.
