In the course of going to sea, the crews of the ships in the sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet performed a number of training and combat missions. In cooperation with the Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopters, the crews of small anti-submarine ships (MPK) worked out joint anti-submarine actions – they conducted exercises to search, detect and destroy a submarine using anti-submarine weapons.
According to the available data, presumably in the area of concentration of one of the ship groupings of the Baltic Fleet there is a mock enemy submarine, the crew of which was tasked with destroying the ships of the group.
For the prompt solution of the task at hand, MPK and helicopters of the Ka-27 PL naval aviation fleet were sent to the indicated square. The helicopters, having performed the elements of “hovering” over the water surface and using hydroacoustic means of anti-submarine detection, detected the target and transmitted the coordinates of the submarine to the crews of the IPC of the Baltic Fleet.
During the development of anti-submarine missions, the crews of the ships carried out a set of measures for the classification and tracking of the target submarine. After that, the discovered submarine was conditionally destroyed using the RBU-600 rocket launcher and torpedo armament of the ships.
In addition to anti-submarine measures, the crews of the ships successfully carried out a complex of artillery fires at various targets using practical weapons.
Also, during the exit to sea, the crews worked out the elements of combat to repel attacks of small-sized targets and air attack weapons, completed the tasks of joint maneuvering, organizing interaction and communication between the ships.
