The Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles provided the artillery command post with precise target coordinates for destroying a mock enemy at the Kirillovsky training ground in the Leningrad Region as part of the West-2021 joint strategic exercise.
According to the plan of the exercise, during aerial reconnaissance, the military personnel identified the advanced units of the advancing enemy in armored pickups with machine guns. Using the “Strelets” reconnaissance, control and communications complex in conjunction with unmanned aircraft, the servicemen were able to accurately direct the crews of the gunners to the assigned targets.
The infliction of a series of cut-off strikes against the advancing groups of the mock enemy made it possible to halt the offensive in the shortest possible time.
The use of the latest means of reconnaissance and objective control made it possible to hit the assigned targets in the shortest possible time and ensure control of their defeat by the joint headquarters of the Russian Federation and the partner states.
About 500 servicemen and more than 80 pieces of equipment took part in the drawing of practical actions at the Kirillovsky training ground.
