One of the devices is used in the traumatology department during operations on the spine, the second – in the orthopedic department during operations on the extremities.
Two new mobile X-ray machines of the C-arm type were purchased for the city clinical hospital (GKB) No. 13. They are necessary to obtain X-rays during the operation.
The new equipment allows to cover a wide area of the study and to carry out three-dimensional reconstruction, which increases the control of the patient’s safety during the operation. One of the devices is used in the traumatology department during operations on the spine, the second – in the orthopedic department during operations on the extremities.
The C-arm allows you to see the smallest details and get images of complex anatomical structures without distortion.
Operations using a C-arm X-ray apparatus significantly reduce the radiation exposure both on the patient himself and on the doctors, while obtaining better images.
Another new device is in operation in the second orthopedic department of City Clinical Hospital No. 13. It is specially adapted to the needs of orthopedic traumatologists performing surgery on the extremities. This allows for the most precise manipulations in the operating room and improves the quality of treatment for patients with limb injuries. Every year, surgeons perform about 300 foot surgeries as part of high-tech medical care.
City Clinical Hospital No. 13 specializes in comprehensive medical care for patients with traumatological and orthopedic pathology. More than 3.5 thousand trauma patients are operated on here every year. In addition to the Center for Reconstructive and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the City Clinical Hospital has two traumatological and orthopedic departments, an emergency traumatology and orthopedics department, an intensive care and intensive care department. The institution also has two polyclinic departments, a limb rescue center and a rehabilitation center for children under the age of three.
