Izhevsk hosted the final of the Republican Spartakiad “Gvardia” them. M.T. Kalashnikov. 10 teams took part in the competition. The objective of the event is to involve young people in the military-patriotic movement.

On behalf of the Central Council of the Defense Organization, the participants of the final competitions were greeted by the State Secretary – Deputy Chairman of DOSAAF of Russia, Lieutenant General Nikolai Staskov. He wished the children good luck and victories throughout their lives: “Today you defend the honor of your clubs, families – many come to study in the military-patriotic organization, looking at their fathers and brothers,” Nikolai Staskov noted. “Participation in them really develops collectivism in a person, he becomes prepared for service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the country and the defense of our Fatherland.”

The victory in the Olympics was won by the “Patriot” team of the Uvinsky region, the second and third places were taken by the teams from Seltinsky region and Votkinsk.

In total, the participants passed 11 tests, among which: pull-ups on the bar, rowing, “bike” simulator, “snake” with weights.

The Gvardia Spartakiad was held as part of the Education national project initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Members of the military-patriotic club “Paratrooper” from Votkinsk and the musical group “Dabro” performed before the participants and guests.

The Republican Spartakiad “Gvardia” was held for the first time and brought together more than a thousand people from all over the region – these are representatives of the youth army movement, students of cadet classes, pupils of military-patriotic organizations and associations. For 6 months, 34 teams fought for the right to meet in the final. The semifinal of the Olympics was held on August 22 in Votkinsk on the Day of the State Flag.

In total, 208 cadet classes, 174 museums of educational organizations, 15 search squads, 43 patriotic clubs, the Udmurt Cadet Corps named after Hero of the Soviet Union Valentin Georgievich Starikov, regional branches of the All-Russian military-patriotic movements “Yunarmiya” and “Yungvardia” veteran public associations.
