On September 13, a weekly conference call was held under the leadership of the Acting Minister of Emergencies of Russia Alexander Chupriyan. During the meeting, it was noted that an unfavorable flood situation was observed in 6 regions – Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk Territories, Amur and Irkutsk Regions, as well as the Jewish Autonomous Region. In total, more than 160 residential and country houses, 5.8 thousand household plots, 93 road sections and 6 socially significant objects were flooded. Rescuers provide comprehensive assistance to the population of flooded areas. The most difficult situation is in Buryatia, where more than 900 household plots are flooded. A team of specialists from the National Crisis Management Center is working in the region.

At the moment, there are 75 wildfires on the territory of the country, they operate on the territory of 9 regions. Of these, 9 outbreaks are localized on an area of ​​107,178.8 hectares. Aviation is used to extinguish fires in hard-to-reach areas. There are no threats to settlements and economic facilities.

During the reporting period, fire and rescue units responded to more than 5,500 man-made fires, and voluntary fire brigades were involved in the elimination of more than 350 of them.

Over 1.2 thousand people were rescued by the fire and rescue units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry during the elimination of the consequences of more than 1.9 thousand road accidents. Over 200 people were rescued during the rescue and search operations.

The department’s pyrotechnics found and defused 230 explosive items, including 55 bombs. There is a 50% decrease in the number of accidents at water bodies compared to the same period last year.

Rescuers EMERCOM of Russia keep under control the safety of the passage of tourist routes by more than 200 groups with a total number of over 2 thousand people.

Work is underway to eliminate pollution and monitor the environmental situation at the site of the discovery of oil spills in the water area of ​​the Kama River in the Perm Territory and on the coastline of the Ob River in the Novosibirsk Region.
