Walkways, benches and lanterns with energy-saving lamps have appeared here.
The specialists of the municipal economy complex have completed the main works on the improvement of the territory near the station “Prospekt Vernadsky” of the Big Circle Line (BCL).
“With the opening of new stations, the number of pedestrians on the adjacent streets is increasing, so it was necessary to make this space comfortable for both local residents and those who came here to work or study. After the improvement, the area adjacent to the metro became comfortable and functional, a new pedestrian route appeared, which connected the park of the 50th anniversary of October with the BCL station “Prospekt Vernadsky” “, – said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and improvement
Last year, work was carried out on the streets of Koshtoyants, Semyonov-Tyan-Shanskiy, a section of Mikhail Pevtsov Street from Udaltsova Street to Semyonov-Tyan-Shanskiy Street, a section of Vernadsky Avenue in front of the Vernadsky business center. This year Udaltsova Street has been added to this list.
Experts put in order the existing pedestrian routes and equipped alternative ones, removed aerial cable lines underground, and renewed the coverage of the roadway and sidewalks. Workers also installed poles of contrast lighting near pedestrian crossings.
For the convenience of the townspeople, more than 100 comfortable benches and trash bins, 265 lanterns and street lamps with energy-saving lamps were installed along the road to the station.
“On the territory adjacent to the metro, they laid out 6.8 hectares of lawn and planted 5.5 thousand cotoneaster bushes. The installation of nine modern stopping pavilions is nearing completion, in which it will be possible to hide from the bad weather, charge the phone and connect to the Wi-Fi network, ”added Pyotr Biryukov.
In the near future, the arrangement of three playgrounds will be completed on the streets of Koshtoyants and Semenov-Tyan-Shanskiy.
