An exhibition dedicated to the historical path of the Priozersk test site has opened at the Central Naval Museum.

The event brought together servicemen and employees of the Research Center of the 12th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, veterans of the Priozersk test site, as well as representatives of military and public organizations.

The exposition was opened by the head of the SIC Colonel Konstantin Kovalevsky. He told the audience about the contribution of the Priozersk test site employees to the creation of the country’s nuclear shield.

From the veterans of the Priozersky training ground, the floor was taken by the commander of the support vessels division, captain 1st rank of the reserve, Vladimir Karmanov, who told the audience about the main stages of development and formation of the Priozersky training ground, and also made a presentation of the book “At the turning points of history.”

After the opening of the exhibition, a sightseeing tour of the halls of the Central Naval Museum took place.
