The online course for women will run daily from September 27th to October 1st.
The recruitment of students for the new stream of MBM Startup Schools is open. A free course of webinars for beginner business women is conducted by the State Budgetary Institution (GBU) Small Business of Moscow (MBM). The educational program will be fully devoted to women’s entrepreneurship – those types of business that are not only most often created by women, but also targeted at them as consumers. This can be clothing design and sewing, beauty services, the creation of goods for children, and much more.
“MBM Startup School” is one of the most demanded training programs among start-up entrepreneurs and for those who are just thinking about starting their own business. Also, the school carries out a set of student streams on certain topics, for example, a course for the self-employed or a course for representatives of the creative industries. Now we are inviting future business women for training. MBM Startup School appeared in 2017, then classes were held in full-time format, and since 2020 they have become available online. In four years, the school has released over 190 streams. The total number of listeners exceeded 7.6 thousand people, ”says Alexei Fursin, head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow.
The online course includes five lessons. The webinars will be held daily from 16:00 to 17:30.
First, the listeners will be asked to define a niche in the market. They will learn how to come up with ideas for a business and test them, that is, imagine how a particular project can be implemented. As a result, each student will choose the most interesting idea for a potentially profitable business.
The second webinar will focus on how to make your business attractive to partners and investors. Participants will figure out how business modeling differs from business planning, and they will also find out how much investment is required to start a business from scratch and where to turn if personal savings are not enough for this.
On the third day of training, teachers will explain why it is important to develop a business strategy in advance. Before you start selling, it is worth analyzing similar products and customer needs, and then creating a proposal that will allow you to stand out from the competition.
It is difficult to create a recognizable brand without promotion. In the fourth lesson, they will show you how to optimize the cost of advertising goods or services. The listeners will be taught the basics of promotion in social networks, they will tell you whether it can be done for free or with a minimal budget.
Registration of a trademark, registration of rights to design and packaging, the subtleties of concluding agreements with partners and investors – the teachers of the school will talk about this and many other legal aspects at the final, fifth lesson. Among other things, the participants will analyze the most common mistakes of start-up entrepreneurs.
The school’s mentors will be heads of large companies and marketing agencies, business coaches, financial and tax consultants, and auditors. At the end of the training, all graduates will receive certificates.
