On September 15, the Ivanovo Fire and Rescue Academy celebrates its 55th anniversary of its foundation.

Today, on the eve of the memorable date, a solemn event was held on the territory of the academy, which was attended by Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Nikolai Grechushkin, representatives of the central office of the department, Governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky and heads of the executive bodies of state power of the Ivanovo region.

At the beginning of the event, the participants honored the memory of the Minister of EMERCOM of Russia, Hero of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Zinichev and the deceased graduates of the educational institution with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Memorial.

On the parade ground of the academy, the ceremony of presenting the shoulder straps of the first officer rank “junior lieutenant of internal service” to the graduate cadets took place. The best employees of the Academy were awarded departmental awards for their high performance and personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists.

After that, the opening ceremony of the “Link of times and generations” monument took place on the Rescuers’ Walk of Fame.

On the territory of the training base of the Academy in the village. Bibirevo, the opening of the training training ground “Stalker” took place. The ceremony participants were shown the functional capabilities of educational complexes: training students for extinguishing fires and eliminating the consequences of emergencies on railway transport, preparing for emergency rescue operations in case of an accident with a rollover vehicle, preparing for emergency rescue operations to retrieve the injured person from the sunken vehicle, preparation for extinguishing fires and conducting automated control systems in buildings of various functional purposes, preparation for fire extinguishing and prevention of fires at an oil and oil products warehouse.

At the end of the event, the guests of honor wished the cadets excellent studies and success in mastering the rescue business.
