Four deputy prime ministers and five federal ministers have been registered to participate in electronic voting in the elections to be held in Russia from September 17 to 19.

The decision to vote online was made by Deputy Prime Minister – Chief of Staff of the Government Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Novak, Alexey Overchuk and Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Among the ministers, the electronic format was chosen by the head of the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov, as well as the head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, the head of the Ministry of Digital Science Maksut Shadayev.

The possibility of remote voting is enshrined in the federal law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” dated May 23, 2020.

In the elections in September 2021, the online format is available to voters in seven regions of the country: Moscow, Sevastopol, as well as Kursk, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov and Yaroslavl regions.

Electronic voting will take place from 08:00 on September 17 to 20:00 on September 19 (Moscow time) on the voting portal
