In the Slavyansk-on-Kuban driving school of DOSAAF, a meeting of search engines with servicemen was held at the call of one of the military units stationed in the Krasnodar Territory.

The meeting was organized as part of the action “We are going again where the war was raging,” introducing the activities of the search teams.

The chief of staff of the Kuban Border search unit, Bogdan Fufalko, told the youth about patriotic and search work in the region, about how digital technologies help to establish the names of soldiers who were previously considered missing during the Great Patriotic War. So, earlier, more than 10 thousand people were considered dead and missing in the territory of the Slavyansky district, but now, thanks to the electronic archive of the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 18 thousand dead have been identified. As a result, new monuments appeared, and new names on the memorial plates.

After the conversation, the cadets of the training center were shown a film about the work of the search engines of the Kuban, were presented with booklets and St. George ribbons.

In the foyer of the driving school, the search engines launched an exhibition of relics discovered during field work, as well as items of equipment of the Red Army. Evgeny Boriskin, who is in charge of the exhibition, demonstrated rare exhibits, told the servicemen about the interesting finds raised in recent expeditions.

The event was organized within the framework of the interregional patriotic educational program “Memory has been entrusted to us. The Fate of a Soldier ”, implemented using a grant provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
