The Moscow government has approved a project for the construction of Simonovskaya Embankment from Krutitskaya Embankment to Leninskaya Sloboda Street. The area of the projected territory will be 13.32 hectares. The resolution on this issue was signed bySergei Sobyanin.
The embankment will stretch for 1.2 kilometers. It will provide transport services for new residential areas and the Torpedo stadium, which is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
The project also provides for the construction of Eduard Streltsov and Viktor Maslov streets. Their length will be 485 meters and 530 meters, respectively. In addition, specialists will build three pedestrian crossings, install three traffic lights and six stops for ground public transport, arrange parking spaces for charging electric vehicles, bicycle parking and taxi waiting areas.
The adjacent territory will be landscaped, the coastline will be strengthened, utilities will be reconstructed, rainwater drainage networks will be equipped, lighting will be carried out, and a transformer substation will be built.
In 2011–2021, Gormost’s specialists repaired over 380 objects, including 30 bridges, seven transport tunnels, 269 pedestrian crossings, four fountains and 17 embankments.
