A solemn ceremony of handing over the new building of the consultative and diagnostic center, built in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation and the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, took place in Kyzyl.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the command of the Central Military District (CVD), the government of the Tyva Republic, medical personnel and local residents.

“Today we are opening the second stage of a multifunctional medical center. The new facility has all the conditions for high-quality examination, outpatient treatment and surgical operations. The medical center will provide residents of the republic with a full range of highly qualified medical care. I am sure that the facilities built by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will become an important component of the regional healthcare system, ”said Major General Gennady Tuchin, a representative of the Central Military District command.

He also thanked the builders for the clear and prompt implementation of the task of erecting the diagnostic center, and also wished success to the medical workers who will work within the walls of the new health care institution of the Republic of Tyva.

“On behalf of the military council of the Central Military District, I would like to congratulate the residents of the republic on the opening of a multifunctional medical center, as well as the centenary of the Tyva Republic,” added Major General Gennady Tuchin.

After the ceremony of cutting the red ribbon, all the guests went to the building of the center, where they were given an introductory tour of the facilities of the institution.

In the three-storey building of the consultative and diagnostic center for receiving patients, there is a therapeutic department, a radiation diagnostics department, a surgical department, an endoscopic room, a functional diagnostics department, a physiotherapy department, and an infectious disease doctor’s office. In addition, the building provides for a centralized supply of oxygen, compressed air, vacuum and carbon dioxide. The new center will receive patients from all over the region, receiving up to 300 people per day.
