During a tactical exercise, live firing of units of the air defense forces of the Army Corps of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) took place at the Opuk interspecific training ground during a tactical exercise.

Within the framework of live firing, the crews of the Osa and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems (complexes) successfully hit targets, which, in terms of their geometric, ballistic and radar characteristics, imitated small-sized fast-flying air targets of a conventional enemy.

Special targets allowed anti-aircraft gunners to work out a wide range of training exercises for the detection, recognition, tracking and destruction of air attack weapons.

In addition, the servicemen have worked out skills in combating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In particular, according to the plan of the exercise, the UAVs of the simulated enemy were directed towards the positions of the subunit and were detected by the reconnaissance systems of the air defense system. Then they were destroyed by a combat crew with a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun based on a KAMAZ vehicle.

During the exercise, which involved over 100 servicemen and about 20 pieces of equipment, the servicemen of the combat crews successfully hit all air targets, showing a good level of professionalism and team coordination.
