Submarines and surface ships, including the flagship – the Pyotr Veliky heavy nuclear missile cruiser, units of the Northern Fleet army corps involved in exercises with the Arctic expeditionary group in the Barents Sea and in the Murmansk region, arrived at the bases. Several ships remained in the sea, fulfilling the planned tasks of combat training and carrying combat duty.

The personnel and equipment of motorized rifle formations, air defense troops and a missile and artillery brigade, who took part in the exercise, returned to their permanent deployment points and proceeded to planned combat training, as well as to perform tasks of daily activity: servicing equipment and preparing it for the autumn-winter period of operation.

A detachment of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet, performing the tasks of the tenth Arctic cruise along the Northern Sea Route under the command of Deputy Fleet Commander Vice-Admiral Oleg Golubev, left for the Kara Sea at the roadstead of the port of Dikson. In the future, the Severomors will continue to move east along the continental coast of Russia and will conduct a number of exercises in the area of ​​the Novosibirsk Islands and in the Laptev Sea.

According to the preliminary assessment of the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, all the tasks assigned to the forces and troops of the fleet for training in the Arctic were completed. Crews of ships and submarines, personnel of land formations, air defense forces and aviation demonstrated high professionalism and confident actions in a difficult environment.

Up to 8 thousand servicemen were involved in the exercise, more than 800 units of military and special equipment were involved – about 40 tanks, up to 460 armored combat vehicles, up to 240 units of guns, mortars and multiple launch rocket systems, about 120 aircraft, up to 50 ships and supply vessels.
