After completion of the work, wastewater will undergo a full cycle of purification and UV disinfection.
The specialists of the municipal economy complex have started the reconstruction of the 10th treatment plant in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas. It is located in the settlement of Klenovsky, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.
“At present, a large-scale program of modernization of the district’s wastewater system is being implemented, within the framework of which the treatment facilities are being updated. They are equipped with modern energy efficient equipment and automation systems, thanks to which, after reconstruction, wastewater will undergo a full cycle of purification and UV disinfection, ”he said.
Construction work is currently underway in Klenovsky: a building for mechanical treatment and post-treatment of wastewater is being erected, a block of deep biological treatment capacities is being mounted. They will be commissioned in 2022.
“The planned measures will allow to exclude obsolete technologies that do not provide proper wastewater treatment and equipment that have worn out from the Klenovskiy water disposal system,” stressed Pyotr Biryukov. “The developed project includes the introduction of advanced technologies, which will ensure effective wastewater treatment”.
After the annexation of new territories to Moscow, specialists carried out a comprehensive inventory and survey of treatment facilities, which were transferred to the balance of Mosvodokanal. A number of problem areas were identified where outdated cleaning technology was used, there were no ultraviolet disinfection systems, and the service life of technological equipment was exhausted.
Large-scale work to update the drainage system in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas has been carried out since 2012. To date, nine local treatment facilities have been modernized in the village of Minzag Auxiliary Facilities, as well as in the settlements of Shchapovo, Kurilovo, Rogovo, Ptichnoe, Marushkino, Babenki, Kokoshkino and Kievsky. Three obsolete complexes have been decommissioned, and pumping stations have been built in their place, which pump waste water to modern facilities.
