In the course of special training, more than 300 scouts of the Southern Military District will practice climbing the mountains and parachuting at the Daryal mountain range in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

Experienced instructors, as part of a special course, will teach military personnel practical actions in mountainous terrain, rapid-fire shooting, extreme driving, hand-to-hand and knife fighting, camouflage with the help of improvised and natural means, and special equipment.

Scouts will learn tactical and special techniques for conducting combined arms combat, silent elimination of the enemy, orienteering in unfamiliar terrain, working on modern automation systems and communications, as well as overcoming rocky terrain of various steepness and complexity using a climbing system, ice axes, zhumars, carbines and ropes …

Once a week, scouts will carry out daily trips along unfamiliar routes at altitudes from 1,500 to 2,700 m above sea level, where they will practice actions in patrolling, patrolling and in secret using modern digital communications and navigation, as well as reconnaissance and communications complexes “Sagittarius”.

The completion of training at the Daryal training ground will be crediting exercises in all types of combat training, tactical-special competitions with a drawing of training duels between units, climbing Mount Arauhokh and making parachute jumps from Mi-8AMTSh helicopters to a limited area.
