Servicemen of a separate special-purpose unit of the combined-arms army of the Eastern Military District (VVO) in the Trans-Baikal Territory are improving their skills in performing exercises in a new discipline of combat training for ground forces – army tactical shooting from small arms.

To conduct classes and trainings in this discipline, a special section with walls, shelters, passages and corridors for firing from various positions is equipped at the Krasny Yar training ground.

In the course of performing fire missions, servicemen are required to hit targets at a distance of 25 to 50 meters using AK-74M, AK-12 assault rifles, 9-mm PM pistols and Yarygin’s Grach pistols.

Most of the exercises are performed by special forces soldiers from awkward positions with a constant change of firing position. This method of fire training is fundamentally different from standard shooting from small arms, since not only the accuracy of the defeat is assessed, but also the time spent by the soldier to defeat all targets.

Mastering the tactical shooting exercises contributes to the high-quality training of personnel for combat operations in confined spaces, including houses, rubble, as well as city blocks. It allows you to develop the necessary practical skills of a soldier, such as the speed and accuracy of hitting targets.

More than 100 servicemen of a separate special-purpose unit of the Air Defense Forces take part in the classes.
