Today, September 16, at the CSKA Palace of Combat Sports, an open training session of the Russian Armed Forces team took place before the start of the 58th World Boxing Championship.

The final composition of the boxing team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the 58th World Championship included 10 men and 5 women, including 10 army athletes: Ensign Volodya Mnatsakyan, Senior Lieutenant Hovik Hovhannisyan, Lieutenant Alexey Mazur, Private Ivan Stupin, Private Alexei Semykin, Warrant Officer Radjab Radjabov, Warrant Officer Yekaterina Paltseva, Private Nune Asatryan, Warrant Officer Saada Dalgatova and Warrant Officer Maria Urakova.

Also, three representatives of the Airborne Forces will perform – Guard Private Dmitry Dvali, Guard Lieutenant Ivan Sagaidak and Guard Private Daria Abramova, and two cadets of the RGVVDKU – Guard Private Konstantin Opolsky and cadet Svetoslav Teterin. Russian military personnel will be represented in all weight categories of the tournament.

The Russian team started the open training session with a warm-up and then there were sparring sessions.

The 58th World Boxing Championship among military personnel will be held in Moscow from 18 to 25 September.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for September 18 at the Patriot Park.

From September 19 to September 24, preliminary matches will take place in the “Igrovoy” sports complex on the territory of CSKA. The finals will take place on September 25.
