More than 5 thousand people visited the exhibition of the Russian Geographical Society (RGO) and the Expeditionary Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense, deployed on the basis of the cultural and entertainment center of the railway connection of the Central Military District (CVD) in Abakan (Republic of Khakassia).

Unique exhibits are presented to the attention of visitors, which are located in four thematic pavilions. Everyone can familiarize themselves with the history of the famous Russian travelers, the BK-31 armored tanker found at the bottom of the Volga, which took part in the Battle of Stalingrad as part of the Volga flotilla, as well as exhibits of space themes: the GSH-6 pressure helmet, the Chibis preventive vacuum suit, the space suit of the type Orlan-D and many other attributes of the first space flights. In addition, visitors can see the personal belongings of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

In total, the exhibition features about 195 exhibits dedicated to the study of the European part of Russia, the Urals, Siberia, the Far East, the Arctic territories and other regions.

The mobile exposition was delivered to Abakan by a military transport aircraft of the Central Military District on September 11. The exhibition will continue to work until September 19, after which it will go to the capital of the Republic of Tuva, the city of Kyzyl.
