Russian tank crews of the 201st military base, located in Tajikistan, have mastered new tactics during combat firing at the Lyaur mountain range.

On the tank director, the crews of the T-72 tanks fired at targets imitating the enemy’s heavy equipment in frontal and flanking movements. At the same time, the tankers changed firing positions and sectors of fire, alternately striking from two trenches equipped with a number, without stopping at one position for more than 30 seconds. The combat vehicle drove into the first trench, fired a shot, immediately backed up and immediately entered the neighboring trench and again fired a volley at the enemy.

To develop the ability of tank crews to hit emerging targets, a dynamically changing tactical and target environment was created.

For reference:

The 201st military base in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. Located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
