Employees of the 16th (territorial) military traffic inspectorate (VAI) took part in the action “Attention, children!” and conducted classes with students of the first grade of Gymnasium No. 9, the city of Simferopol. During the training, the servicemen familiarized and reminded the children about the rules of the road.

The military told and showed the first graders how to cross streets and intersections, as well as build a safer route to the house. The children learned about the peculiarities of crossing the carriageway in the presence of a traffic light and its absence when riding a bicycle.

The road safety lesson was conducted by the staff of the VAI on a specially equipped street site that imitates various elements of the road (intersections, pedestrian crossings, traffic signs and traffic lights).

The lesson was held as part of a game, where children, under the guidance of military personnel, played out different situations that may arise on the road. And at the end of the event, all the students were presented with sweet gifts and memos with the basic rules of the road.

The purpose of this action is to prevent child road traffic injuries and reduce accidents involving children on the roads in the Republic of Crimea.
