Servicemen of the mountain motorized rifle unit of the Central Military District (CVD), stationed in the Republic of Tuva, marched in a combined way from the Edelweiss training ground in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic and arrived at the point of permanent deployment.

Servicemen of the Central Military District made a combined march from the loading station in Kyrgyzstan to the unloading station in Abakan, then as part of a military convoy, accompanied by officers of the military traffic police of the Central Military District, to the point of permanent deployment in the Republic of Tuva. In total, the servicemen covered more than 3 thousand kilometers.

The joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the CSTO Rubezh-2021 was held from 7 to 9 September at the Edelweiss mountain range in Kyrgyzstan. It involved military contingents and operational groups of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as operational groups of the Joint Staff and the Secretariat of the CSTO, the formation of special forces and means of special forces of the internal affairs bodies (police), as well as bodies in the field of prevention of liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations and the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. In total, more than 1,000 people and 150 pieces of equipment, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, special Tiger vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, Su-30SM fighters, Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.

The bulk of the Russian military contingent in the exercise were servicemen of the Tuvan mountain motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District, as well as the personnel of the united Russian military base stationed in Kyrgyzstan.
