Two sections of the former industrial zone Sokolinaya Gora are being reorganized within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project. This will give the city about 15 thousand new jobs.
“Within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project, two sections of the former Sokolinaya Gora industrial zone in the east of Moscow will be reorganized. The total area of the territories subject to integrated development is almost 50 hectares. The planned volume of investments in the implementation of projects will exceed 65 billion rubles, and the expected budgetary effect will amount to 3.3 billion rubles per year. About 15 thousand jobs will appear for the residents of the city “, – explained the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations
In the former industrial zone, it is planned to build more than 675 thousand square meters of real estate. At the first site, high-tech production will occupy more than 52 thousand square meters, and public and business buildings – over 110 thousand square meters, including a kindergarten and a school.
“In addition, it is planned to build almost 250 thousand square meters of housing as part of the renovation program. On the second section of the industrial zone, which is located in Perov, public facilities will occupy the entire territory – almost 263 thousand square meters. In the first territory, the project will be implemented in 14 years, in the second – 11 years, “- explained the head of the city Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov.
In general, the integrated development of the territories of former industrial zones within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project will allow the city to receive about 500 thousand jobs and almost three trillion rubles of budget revenues, and the total investment will amount to more than seven trillion rubles.

The Industrial Quarters project allows the development of virtually abandoned urban areas. The first agreement on their integrated development was signed in July 2020. It concerned the production zone Oktyabrskoye Pole, the total area of which is 5.92 hectares. Investments in the development of the former industrial zone will amount to about 14 billion rubles, the budgetary effect – about 1.8 billion rubles. Its implementation period is designed for six years, but the investor plans to complete the construction by 2024.
At the beginning of November 2020, the country’s first auction for the right to conclude an agreement for the integrated development of the territory was held in Moscow, within the framework of which part of the Korovino industrial zone in the north of the capital will be reorganized. And in early June 2021, at the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, two more agreements were signed on the integrated development of the Kuntsevo territory and the second section of the Korovino industrial zone.
