Specialists of a separate electronic warfare battalion of the combined arms army of the Western Military District (ZVO) repulsed the sabotage of a simulated enemy during a tactical-special exercise using electronic warfare systems “Palantin-K” at the “Pogonovo” training ground in the Voronezh region.

According to the plan of the exercise, the servicemen, together with the air defense units, were on alert in the designated area when intelligence was intercepted about the impending sabotage of the EW units on the field camp.

A feature of the teachings was the warning nature of repelling sabotage. Experts of electronic warfare independently established the place of deployment of the “enemy” according to the centers of the creation of distorted navigation fields that disrupted the work of the field camp. After finding the conditional saboteurs, the servicemen transmitted information to the command, and also practiced repelling the attack of the reconnaissance and sabotage group.

In total, about 300 servicemen of the combined arms army of the Western Military District took part in the exercise, about 20 units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved.
