In order to participate in joint exercises with the implementation of rocket and artillery firing, about 20 surface ships and support vessels of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) went to sea from their basing points in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk. The ships are entering the sea ranges in accordance with the Black Sea Fleet’s combat training plan for the 2021 academic year.

The event involves missile, anti-submarine ships, submarines, sweeping forces of the fleet, auxiliary and rescue ships, aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet.

At the initial stage of the exercises, the sailors worked out the exit of ships from the basing points with the forcing of a mined area along a previously tracked strip, as well as joint maneuvering in various orders when passing through areas of intensive navigation.

Directly in the naval training grounds, the crews of the ships will carry out rocket and artillery firing as part of diverse tactical groups. In addition, they will practice trawling, sea combat, search and destruction of a submarine, detection and strike at a coastal command post, and air defense.

Visual control over the actions of the participants in the exercise will be carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles.
