This unique art object faithfully reproduces 23 thousand buildings of the historical center of the capital, including the Kremlin and other sights.

Pavilion “Model of Moscow”, located on the Lilac Alley of VDNKh, was visited by the millionth guest. It was Julia Berkutova. She came with her family to look at the unique art object, which has become a recognized center of attraction for Muscovites and guests of the capital. Julia came out to greet the entire team of the pavilion. She was also solemnly presented with memorable gifts with the brand symbols of the “Model of Moscow”.

Since its opening in October 2017, the layout has been visited by hundreds of thousands of people every year. Among them are Muscovites, tourists and even leaders of states. Before the pandemic, a record number of guests was recorded here – 10 thousand per day (in 2019).

“Hundreds of words of gratitude in the guestbook, 23 thousand replicas of buildings on an area of 429 square meters, seven exciting lighting shows, modern technical equipment and images floating in the air, colorful fireworks on holidays – this is an incomplete list of significant events related to the layout and interesting facts about him “, – said the head of the Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow

Sergey Levkin.

The layout is interesting not only in itself. It is also a visual aid for specialists who study urban planning issues. The pavilion hosts numerous excursions and exhibitions designed for a wide variety of audiences.

The creation of the layout began in 2012. On it you can see 23 thousand miniature buildings of the historical center of the capital, including the Kremlin and other sights.

The model is notable for its realism: in due time the chimes beat on the Spasskaya Tower, bas-reliefs and panels are accurately recreated on the buildings.

The unique art object is equipped with a controllable interactive backlighting system, adjustable in brightness: residential buildings are illuminated with warm (yellow) light, administrative buildings are illuminated with cold light, bridges are blue and parks and squares are green.
