The competitive part of the 58th World Boxing Championship among military personnel has started in Moscow. During the afternoon session of the starting day of the tournament, six representatives of the team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation fought their battles.

Ensign Ekaterina Paltseva (up to 51 kg) defeated Sanduni Khanwellaj from Sri Lanka by unanimous decision and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Private Nune Asatryan (up to 60 kg) in the 1/8 finals by unanimous decision was stronger than Punam Raval from Nepal.

Lieutenant Alexey Mazur (up to 64 kg) in the 1/16 finals by unanimous decision defeated the representative of Nepal Sanjiv Rajakarun Vasal Mudiyan.

Guard Senior Lieutenant Ivan Sagaidak (up to 91 kg) defeated Pakistani Mahmoud Hassan by unanimous decision and reached the 1/16 finals.

Private Alexei Semykin (up to 75 kg) defeated Venezuelan Diego Andres Pereira Medgia by unanimous decision and reached the 1/8 finals.
