A joint training camp of divers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the State Agency for Emergency Situations of Mongolia is being held on Lake Khuvsgul in the settlement. Hatgal.

On behalf of the Russian side, specialists from the Baikal search and rescue team are participating in the event.

The joint training of rescuers is aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation of emergency departments and is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mongolia.

Mongolian divers are preparing to clean Lake Khovsgul from sunken cars and ships. To do this, specialists from both countries examine the bottom of the reservoir, determining the location of the objects and assessing the possibility of their extraction from the water area. During the training camp for Mongolian specialists, classes are held on safe diving in high mountains and the use of pontoons for lifting sunken objects from the bottom. Based on the results of the event, recommendations will be prepared for further work on cleaning Lake Khovsgul from sunken objects.

The training camp, organized at the initiative of the Mongolian Rescue Service, will end on September 26 this year.
