Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko greeted the participants of the 32nd IPMA World Congress “Project Management in the Digital Transformation Era”. The event takes place in St. Petersburg from September 21 to 23.

Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that this is the most important world event for the professional community, experts and organizations in the field of project activities. He also noted the symbolism of the congress in Russia.

“The digital transformation of the state, society and business is one of our national priorities for the next decade. We are confidently moving towards achieving our goal. On behalf of the President of Russia, a set of measures is being implemented to create favorable conditions for both the leaders of the IT industry market and high-tech startups. As a result, the volume of exports of domestic software and services over the past year increased by 13.5% and amounted to over $ 5 billion. Our task is to create such conditions so that doing business from Russia would be more profitable than from any other country, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Leading businessmen, managers, entrepreneurs, representatives of global corporations, scientists, teachers, coaches, non-profit organizations and students from more than 70 countries of the world traditionally take part in the work of the congress.

This year, experts will discuss the digital transformation of enterprises, cities and states, as well as the use of new technologies in project management.

Dmitry Chernyshenko added that on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, all regions of Russia have adopted strategies for digital transformation of key sectors of the economy, social sphere and public administration.

“They include more than 4.5 thousand projects. These are large and at the same time end-to-end projects that require special approaches to management. At this stage, they are being successfully implemented by project teams. All solutions that we are implementing are considered solely from the perspective of those who will use their results – our citizens and businesses, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed confidence that this year’s Congress will lay a solid foundation for cooperation between Russia and other countries in the field of project management, which in the future will bring results for all states participating in the dialogue.

“This congress is an opportunity for a large-scale discussion of all the details of a project management approach, including after a pandemic. I am sure that the best practices and ideas will be presented at the congress, and unique experience will be exchanged, ”added Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The IPMA Congress is an international authoritative platform and an effective tool for developing professional relations, assessing achievements and discussing global trends in project management.

The event is organized by IPMA – the international professional federation of national project management associations, the SOVNET Project Management Association – the representative of Russia in IPMA and the WINbd company – the operator of the congress in Russia.
