Into new apartments from the beginning of implementation renovation programs more than 39 thousand of its participants have already moved, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“Since the start of the renovation program in Moscow, 145 new houses with a total area of 1.9 million square meters have been commissioned, of which 113 have already been handed over for occupancy,” he said.
In total, the resettlement was organized for 47.6 thousand program participants from 311 old houses. “39.1 thousand of this number have already moved to new apartments,” said Andrei Bochkarev.
The construction of 154 houses with a total area of 2.4 million square meters and the design of another 145 houses with a total area of three million square meters are ongoing.
The city is in constant search of new launch sites on which houses will be built for the wave resettlement of residents, added the head of the capital Department of Urban Development Policy Sergey Levkin.
“Last week, the list of launch sites was supplemented with 10 new territories. Now there are 523 sites, their urban development potential is 8.3 million square meters, “he said.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It is planned to be implemented by 2032 in all districts of the capital. In total, the program includes 5176 houses – about 350 thousand apartments with a total area of 16.4 million square meters, in which about a million people live.
