A comment

From the opening remarks by Mikhail Mishustin at an operational meeting with the Deputy Prime Ministers on September 20, 2021

We are talking, in particular, about the rivers Babu, Derekoyka, Uchan-Su, located in the area of the urban district of Yalta. Due to the rain flood, woody and gravel-sandy sediments have formed in their channels, which impede the free passage of water. The money allocated by the Government will be used to remove these blockages. Similar work is planned to be carried out in the Bakhchisarai region of the Crimea – on the Belbek river and its tributaries.

Clearing the channel will restore the natural flow and speed of the river. As a result, the likelihood of repeated floods is reduced.

Rosvodresurs is charged with monitoring the efficiency of spending. The report on the targeted use of the budget tranche must be submitted to the Government by February 1, 2022.

The decision made will help overcome the negative consequences of the floods that occurred in Crimea in the summer of 2021.
