A new thematic train dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT) was launched in the Moscow metro. It runs along the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line.

Passengers can get acquainted with the history of the famous transport university and see how it has changed. The largest industrial university in the country with 350 thousand graduates was established more than a century ago and was called the Imperial Moscow Engineering School.

Muscovites will see archival photographs from the university museum, which depict outstanding scientists and their inventions, as well as engineers and builders, students and teachers.

It will be possible to ride on the thematic line-up within the next six months.

Subway theme trains have become a tradition. Decorated trains are launched in honor of important events in the city, country and the world. For example, passengers have already seen the trains “Path to Victory”, “80 years of VDNKh”, “Zdorovaya Moskva”, “Striped Flight”, “Aquarelle”, “Tails and Legs” and others.
