The International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation trains sappers in four areas: humanitarian demining, countering improvised explosive devices, mine detection service and the use of robotic equipment.

The military is learning to carry out a complex of work on the complete cleaning of the area – reconnaissance for the presence of explosive objects, their destruction and quality control of the work. The training of military personnel takes about two months using a unique training and material base. The center is equipped with modern Russian-made engineering weapons. Sappers use only new means of search and detection of explosive objects, as well as personal protective equipment.

All practical exercises are conducted by instructors with experience in combat and humanitarian demining. The facilities of the training and material base have been created and are constantly being improved taking into account the experience of performing tasks in Syria and Laos, as well as the periodic receipt of new information about modified improvised explosive devices.
