Aerosol camouflage of the command posts and the command and observation post of the battalion tactical group was provided by the radiation, chemical and biological (RCB) protection units of the combined arms army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) at a bilateral exercise in the Rostov region.

The aerosol counteraction group provided the air-aerosol curtain from the raid of unmanned vehicles of the simulated enemy. The personnel of the aerosol unit, using modern thermal smoke machines TDA-2K, created a cloud about one kilometer in front of the front of the simulated enemy, which helped to achieve a tactical advantage over the enemy.

Also, the servicemen set up a smoke screen at the command post using portable aerosol countermeasures – unified smoke bombs – remotely using electronic means of detonation.

In the bilateral regimental exercise in the Rostov region, about 4 thousand servicemen of the formation are involved.

Bilateral battalion and regimental tactical exercises in the Southern Military District are conducted simultaneously at four training grounds in the district in the Rostov region, South Ossetia, the Chechen Republic and Crimea. About 10 thousand servicemen take part in them, about 800 pieces of weapons and equipment are involved, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery pieces and multiple launch rocket systems. For the purpose of interspecific interaction, more than 40 aircraft and helicopters of army and operational-tactical aviation have been attracted from the association of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District.
