With the support of the Moscow Export Center (MEC), metropolitan companies have earned more than 1.5 billion rubles on electronic platforms since 2018.

The Moscow Export Center was established by the Moscow government. He currently assists entrepreneurs in export transactions through over 50 online platforms.

At the same time, at some sites, companies receive 100 percent of financing for the placement and promotion of goods.

In 2020, support from the GEC enabled 50 metropolitan companies to start exporting through China’s largest e-commerce platform. In total, they signed contracts for almost a billion rubles. Moscow food producers export tea, coffee, jams, nuts, marshmallows, dried fruits, instant cereals, flour, adapting the goods to the local market.

In 2021, support in the Asian direction increased, currently entrepreneurs can be among the 230 companies with accounts on the largest Chinese electronic platforms with more than 800 million users, where products and consumer goods are sold.

The GEC also helps metropolitan businessmen to start online sales in European countries thanks to the commerce support program launched in 2021 on the three largest electronic platforms with users both in the European Union and beyond, where you can trade products, goods for creativity, toys, products for summer cottages and gardens, clothing, accessories, sports goods, ornaments and home decor. This year, 150 companies from the capital will support European marketplaces.

– As part of the online export support program on Asian and European sites, the company receives a full range of services financed by the GEC, including consultations, product placement, service support, logistics, legal support, customs clearance, as well as processing a transaction under a foreign economic contract, – said the head Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow Alexey Fursin.

In September, the MECproposedentrepreneurs to take advantage of the free online service “Personal selection of buyers”, which will allow exporters to get warm contacts of foreign buyers.

Entrepreneurs can select potential buyers in one of four blocks – Europe (more than twenty-five countries), Africa and the Middle East (eight countries), Asia (nine countries) and the CIS (seven countries).
