The action of the play by Alexei Zhitkovsky takes place in Siberia: mid-December, Nastya, a young teacher of the preparatory group “Pchelka” is preparing for the New Year’s party, and she also needs to build a hill. The slide in the play is also its fate, along which it rapidly rolls down. In the final scene, all of her close heroines unexpectedly come together to help finish the hill, which is also symbolic.

Not only images are valuable in the text. Through laughter and humor, the author was able to catch serious problems. The play opposes the inhuman system in which the main characters have to exist. Nastya, who has changed a lot since the appearance of the boy Ozoda, is trying, if not to resist, then at least to understand the circumstances.
