The divers’ training camp of the Leader Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is held on Lake Valdayskoye in the Novgorod region.

After theoretical training, the specialists began practical descents. The training is carried out by the instructor of the Center for Diving Research and instructors of the “Centrospas” squadron.

The first practical descents have already passed the other day. The divers made 6 descents to a depth of 21 meters with a total duration of over 23 hours under water. The dives were carried out in deep-sea breathing apparatus of a closed breathing cycle with an electronic control system – a rebreather “Breeze”. The “Leader” Center is armed with this equipment relatively recently. The device rebreather “Breeze” allows divers to work under water for up to 4 hours. They also reduce the decompression time, which has a positive effect on the health and well-being of divers.

Classes with the Center’s specialists on this type of specialized equipment for deep diving are conducted by its inventor and developer Alexei Vazhinsky.

The divers’ training camp will end on September 30.
