Muscovites bought notebooks, sketchbooks, candles and scented sachets, created by people with mental disabilities and mental disorders, from a promotional store.

In the Active Citizen project, Muscovites bought all 590 goods created by the wards of socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPO) for points. They were presented in reward store from 26 August in partnership with social marketplace “Moscow is a kind city.” The project is being implemented by the specialized employment center “My Career” in the capital Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population

“More than 20 non-profit organizations from the capital have already cooperated with the Social Marketplace project. For example, the catalog contains products made by the hands of the wards of socially oriented NGOs “Unity”, “Life Path”, “Emerald City”, “Equal Opportunities”, “Family Hearth” and others. We are very glad that the first batch of goods was liked by the users of the “Active Citizen” service and was sold out so quickly. This means that souvenirs made with heart by people with special needs or disabilities are not only beautiful and unusual gifts, but also truly high-quality and competitive things. Helping people is easy: everyone can do this by buying good gifts with meaning, ordering corporate souvenirs from NGOs, ”said Irina Shvets, director of the My Career specialized employment center.

The first non-profit organization that presented goods in the incentive store was the regional charitable public organization for the disabled “Center for Adaptation and Development“ Emerald City ”. It provides social and labor rehabilitation for adolescents and adults with mental disabilities and mental disorders. They create notepads, sketchbooks, sketchbooks, candles, scented herbal sachets, Florentine sachets and hand-made envelopes. This helps the wards to establish communication and learn to work.

“It is significant that our users actively support charitable foundations and exchange points for goods from socially oriented NGOs. This interest proves that the townspeople are ready to help, and we, in turn, will try to further develop the direction of charity in the incentive store, ”said Alexander Pischelko, head of the New Management Technologies State Institution.

Goods from other socially oriented NGOs will soon appear in the shop of incentives of the Active Citizen project.

Category “Charity” appeared in the shop of incentives of the “Active Citizen” project in December 2020 at the initiative of charitable organizations and with the support of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow. Users have the opportunity to transfer accumulated points to programs of charitable organizations. Now there are 15 of them, among them “Fair Help of Doctor Lisa”, “Give sunshine”, “Hurry to do good!”, “Union”, “Catgirls” and others. More than 12.2 thousand users have already helped the foundations, donating more than 17 million rubles.

In addition, residents of Moscow can support charitable organizations with the help of charity service… It was launched in 2020 at the initiative of Moscow NGOs. The Moscow Department of Information Technologies and the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy worked on the project with the support of the Public Chamber of the city.

“The service page now presents 52 organizations that help children and adults with disabilities or in difficult life situations, as well as shelters for homeless animals. The service is becoming more and more in demand: if at the beginning of the summer we talked about five million rubles of donations since its launch, today this amount is already approaching eight million rubles, “she noted. Ekaterina Dragunova, Chairman of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow.

Users can be sure that the money donated will go exactly where they sent it – all charities connected to the service publish quarterly reports on the site “Soulful Moscow”.
