Servicemen of the airborne assault and reconnaissance units of the Baltic Fleet Marine Corps in the Kaliningrad Region, as part of the planned airborne training, makes training parachute jumps.

Servicemen of the formation carry out landing from the Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation in the altitude range – from 600 to 1200 meters, in groups of up to 20 people at a time.

Marines practice jumping with weapons and additional equipment, landing on unequipped sites. During the landing, military personnel perform exercises on aimed fire in the air and working out tactical tasks after landing, among which are the defense of the area, the capture and retention of fortified enemy firing points, as well as a number of special tasks.

Jumps are performed in various weather conditions, in full combat gear with stabilization of the fall for three seconds and manual opening of the parachute, both in daylight and in the dark.

More than 100 marines are taking part in the combat training event.
