Servicemen of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense (RHBZ) unit of the Central Military District, stationed in the Altai Territory, worked out the issues of setting a smoke screen over the railway junction at the time of unloading the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems from a simulated enemy during a special exercise.

According to the plan of the exercise, the crews of the Buk-M3 air defense missile system returned to the point of permanent deployment after completing the tasks by rail. At the unloading station, in order to exclude the establishment of the specific location of the complexes and the use of high-precision weapons on them, the military chemists of the Central Military District worked out the tasks of hiding the Buk-M3 air defense missile system on the unloading ramp and shunting tracks of the railway station by installing an object smoke screen.

For this, the servicemen used TDA-3 aerosol curtain machines, which are capable of directing horizontal and raised aerosol curtains, providing reliable cover for large objects.

The unit also worked out the cover of the aerosol curtain for the further movement of the convoy of military equipment in the PPD and personnel, creating the illusion of a thick fog.

More than 500 servicemen and about 40 units of military and special equipment were involved in the exercise.
