In the “Active Citizen” project, Muscovites are invited to take part in voting, in which they can demonstrate their knowledge of census history

Participants will have to answer 10 questions, five points are awarded for each correct answer. For example, the townspeople should indicate which of the famous Russian writers made an attempt to conduct a population census on Sakhalin on their own initiative: Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov or Maxim Gorky.

Modern issues were also included in the vote, in particular, about the first digital census in the history of the population, which will be held in 2021. Participants will have to answer what distinctive signs can be used to recognize the census taker, who won the last year’s competition and became the All-Russian mascot of the population census, and what documents are required to participate.

For participation in the quiz, the townspeople will immediately receive 20 points, and for each correct answer – five points (they will be awarded after summing up the results of the quiz). In the rewards store of the Active Citizen project, they can be exchanged for branded products. In addition, there is an opportunity to visit excursions, top up the Troika card or transfer the earned points to charity.

Correct answers are planned to be published in October. The vote was prepared jointly with Rosstat in honor of the upcoming All-Russian Population Census, which will be held from October 15 to November 14. It should be held every 10 years (the last time it took place in 2010), but due to the pandemic, the dates were postponed to the fall of 2021. The census collects data anonymously on residents – those who have lived in the country for more than a year will answer 33 questions about themselves, their household and living conditions. In 2021, it will be possible to answer these questions online for the first time. on the website of public services… You can also wait for the scribe to visit your home or come to the site yourself.
