In September, a commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education began its work to select participants for the Priority 2030 program. The members of the commission began to hear presentations of university development programs. 187 university teams will present their projects for defense. On the first day, the first 13 universities of the country presented their programs. Among them are national research institutes, medical, including military universities.

The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, noted that Priority 2030 is the most ambitious program of state support for universities in the history of the country and will benefit both the universities themselves and the entire system of higher education.

The Military Medical Academy presented its program, the main emphasis of which is the development of the traditions of military field surgery and military field therapy.

According to the head of the academy Yevgeny Kryukov, already now about forty countries of the world are sending their students to the Academy for unique knowledge of military surgery. And in the future, the percentage of training such students in the framework of international cooperation will only increase.

The goal of the Priority 2030 program is to form a wide group of universities that will become leaders in creating new scientific knowledge, technologies and developments for implementation in the Russian economy and social sphere. The universities that have become participants in the program will develop and disseminate the best practices of research, innovation and educational activities throughout the higher education system, and will increase the attractiveness of life and work in the regions of Russia, including for foreign students and foreign scientists.
