Servicemen of the communications and electronic warfare (EW) units of the motorized rifle unit of the combined-arms formation of the Central Military District (CVO), stationed in the Kemerovo Region, suppressed the work of low-power radio stations during an exercise at the Yurginsky training ground in Kuzbass.

According to the plan of the exercise, the military personnel marched to the specified area using standard equipment, conducted a reconnaissance of the area and deployed field posts, after which, with the help of the Krasukha and Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare stations, conducted a radio reconnaissance of the specified area of the terrain, where more than 10 workers were found and identified low-power radio stations of a conventional enemy.

After analyzing the data received, the servicemen determined the exact coordinates of the radio stations and transmitted them to the command post. Then the station operators carried out the suppression of the identified communication channels, “clogging” the receivers of the imaginary enemy with barrage radio-electronic interference.

In addition, using automated jamming stations, the specialists of the electronic warfare units created false sources of radiation, thereby protecting the communication systems of their units from the “enemy’s” radio intelligence.

More than 500 military personnel were involved in the exercise, about 40 units of military and special equipment were involved.
