The silver medalist of the 2012 World Karate Championship (among juniors), a former member of the Russian national Shotokan team, the President of the Smolensk Regional Federation of Eastern Martial Arts, met with convicts serving sentences in the household service unit, as well as suspected and accused minors held in the institution.
The main goal of the event is to popularize physical culture and sports, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle. In addition, meetings with interesting multifaceted and strong-willed personalities, people with a strong character, their own labors and efforts to achieve success in life, are a good example for the younger generation, contribute to expanding horizons. This meeting was initiated by the teaching staff of the training center of the remand prison.
Arsen Baykhadzhiev told the audience about how he achieved his sports results from a young age, about coaching and about today’s everyday life as president of the Smolensk Regional Federation of Eastern Combat Martial Arts. He emphasized that all achievements are the fruits of his consistent and systematic preparation, full dedication and dedication. The athlete also shared his emotions and impressions that overwhelmed him every time he had to compete for the country. It is about the highest responsibility and immeasurable pride.
Then Arsen Baykhadzhiev paid attention to such a direction of martial arts as Shotokan, which is becoming more and more popular in Russia and the world today. According to the athlete, it is incredibly fast and technical, as well as the closest thing to life.
Those who gathered listened to the guest with interest and asked him questions of interest. At the end of the meeting, Arsen Baykhadzhiev was presented with a letter of gratitude from the administration of remand prison No. 1 for cooperation and contribution to the promotion of physical culture and a healthy lifestyle among suspects, accused and convicted persons.
