The column of the mobile multidisciplinary hospital of the Western Military District has begun to march from the Tula region to the point of permanent deployment in the Moscow region.

For three months of work, specialists of the military medical service of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District (ZVO) in the city hospital of the city of Shchekino, Tula Region, provided assistance to over 1.2 thousand patients with coronavirus infection.

All discharged patients underwent the required course of treatment. After a PCR study and a negative result for coronavirus infection, military specialists prepared the necessary documents for discharge.

In total, 55 people worked on the territory of the city hospital, including 17 doctors, including 6 doctors from military hospitals of the Western Military District. Military doctors have at their disposal artificial lung ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and other medical equipment necessary for treatment.

Also, military doctors carried out vaccination of the local population in the city of Tula, where to date over 24 thousand local residents have undergone a full course of vaccination.

In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, on the appeal of the governor of the Tula region, specialists from the field mobile multidisciplinary hospital of the Taman Motorized Rifle Division of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District arrived in the region to provide assistance in the treatment of patients with the new coronavirus infection.
