The station will have a passenger terminal and two platforms, one of which will open before the end of the year.

The Minsk station of the future MCD-4 “Kievsko-Gorkovsky” was built by 60 percent, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

“Minskaya will become a new point of the transport frame at the junction of three metropolitan areas. It will be used not only by local residents, but also by passengers arriving from the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas and the Moscow region. Here they will be able to change to the metro, and with the launch of MCD-4, they will also be free of charge, ”the deputy mayor said.

According to Maxim Liksutov, making public transport for residents of the Novomoskovsk district as accessible as in the central regions is one of the priority tasks, and the implementation of the MCD-4 project will, among other things, make it possible to achieve this.

An overpass has already been erected across Minskaya Street, and now the construction of a crossing on the principle of “dry feet” is underway, which will connect the Minsk MCD-4 station with the station of the same name on the yellow metro line.

Minskaya will have a passenger terminal, as well as two platforms, one of which will start working this year. It is planned that after opening the station will be used by more than 8.5 thousand passengers per day, and by 2025 the flow may double – up to 17.3 thousand.

BCL, MCD and river trams: how public transport is developing in the capital

The total length of MCD-4 will be 86 kilometers and it will have 39 stations. The terminal will be the Aprelevka of the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway and the Zheleznodorozhny of the Gorky direction. From 18 stations it will be possible to change to the metro, the Moscow Central Ring and other diameters. The opening of traffic on MCD-4 will improve the transport situation in 23 districts of the capital with a population of more than 2.5 million people. Residents of Aprelevka, Reutov, Balashikha, Zheleznodorozhny and other nearby settlements will be able to get to Moscow faster.
