At the school of cooks of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, under the guidance of experienced military personnel-instructors of the food service, practical training sessions for cooks and bakers in cooking and baking bread are conducted.
Despite the widespread use of outsourcing in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the specialty of a military chef is still in demand.
In specially equipped rooms and training bakeries, future qualified military chefs learn how to prepare various dishes and bake bread. At the same time, servicemen also learn to work with technical devices, units and field kitchens of various modifications in stationary and field conditions.
During the summer period of study at the school of cooks, there are more than 350 cadets, including 100 bakers and more than 250 cooks. After passing the final exams, they will be assigned the appropriate specialty and issued certificates. In the future, servicemen will continue to serve not only in the formations and military units of the Air Defense Forces, but also in other military districts.
